This was a fun one in our house. The first time we made a Sidecar cocktail we made it with Hennessy XO (Extra Old) cognac because that was what we had on hand. It was smooth and bold at the same time.
When planning our cocktail party, we thought that the XO might be on the pricey side for a crowd, so I bought a bottle of Hennessy VSOP cognac instead. The cocktail was still great, but I suspect at home we’ll stick with the XO!
